Peer Supporting Program

Peer Supoorting Program

Rigorous coursework of our university has been a major challenge to many students, especially freshmen who just came out of high school. Without proper learning skills and supports, student failed to keep up with the pace of the program, which led to a large number of drop-outs.

Peer Supporting Program is an academic assistance program that utilize peer-assisted study sessions. The study sessions will be hosted by a student leader who have previously done well in the course. Student leader will not serve as a teacher but a learning facilitator. They will help students to make good use of their time and share the strategies that they use to be successful in their course. These study sessions will be informal review sessions for students to compare notes, discuss readings, develop organizational tools, and predict test questions.

This service will help our students to build strong foundation in their learning skills as well as to increase retention rate of our student body. This service is provided to all students free of charge.
